HackZone workshops exercise your geek muscles

Normally HackZone has their own field at CampZone. Here, visitors come together to work on projects in 3D printing, robotics, coding, and making. For the online edition of CampZone, they have made a huge effort to keep your brains entertained with the popular CZ20 “Ærpane” event badge, and some cool workshops!

Follow the stream Live at Twitch.tv/CampZone. Check out what they have to offer for you in the coming week:

Sunday July 26 at 19:00 – 22:00: Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Hardware Hacking* (*But Were Afraid to Ask) – Hardware Hacking for the absolute beginners. During this workshop, Jilles Groenendijk will explain you how to get started with hardware security. No preparation required!

Monday July 27 at 19:00 – 20:00: An Intro To How to Use Your CZ20 “Ærpane” Badge. During this one-hour session Tom Clement and Anne Jan Brouwer will show you how to assemble your badge, how to get it running, and how to install and use apps. We’ll end with a general Q&A where you can ask things related to the badge.

Tuesday July 28 at 13:00 – 14:00: From zero to hero in 60 minutes: how to write an app and publish it to the hatchery (the badge App Store). Join Sake Blok and Tom Clement this session to learn how to write apps for the CZ20 badge in Python, and publish them online so everyone can install it!

Wednesday July 29 at 19:00 – 20:00: Using your awesome Ærpane as a controller to make funky tunes using DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software. During this session hosted by Quinten van Kessel, you will learn how to play live music on your computer using your CZ20 badge as a controller.

Sunday Aug 2nd at 19:00 – 20:00: Ask me Anything Q&A with Tom Clement. Ask anything you want, and some questions might even get answered! For example, you ask about using or programming your badge, about how badges are designed and made, or what it is like to do a €10.000 badge project with volunteers during the biggest worldwide pandemic in over a hundred years 🙂
